Roman mining presents particular characteristics: the galleries are narrow and dome-shaped, walls topped with a fine work of bill and at certain intervals a hole in which to deposit the lamps lighting. Soils well made and when there are outstanding, have steps to facilitate the tours. It is easy to identify compared to later works, less care. To date we have listed two dozen examples, with which it is possible to determine aspects of planning and tillage conditions.
